The Best of Redd Foxx Show, Vol. 1 & 2

April 12 @ 12:00 am

“Redd Foxx Show” (1977-1978) was a variety series starring actor and comedian Redd Foxx. The show piggybacked off his successful NBC sitcom “Sanford and Son,” where he played a junk dealer who lived with his son in Watts. He left the show in 1977 and began working with ABC to produce his own variety show. The show only lasted one season, but the monologues and sketches produced were a showcase for Redd’s inimitable style. Featuring the biggest stars of the era, guests included Muhammad Ali, Rodney Dangerfield, Andy Kaufman, Bob Einstein, Billy Crystal, Pat Morita, Suzanne Somers, Rip Taylor, and series regulars Slappy White, Billy Barty and many more. The Best of Redd Foxx Show, Volumes 1 & 2 showcase the best of the Redd’s monologues, sketches and standup performances from Redd and his friends, available for the first time wherever you listen to comedy.
